I'm Drew- a husband, father, pastor, speaker, hockey player, and triathlete. I was born and raised in San Jose, California. In the fall of  2017 we moved to Virginia, where I am the lead pastor at Real Life Christian Church. I've been married to my bride, Amy, since 2005, and together we have 4 awesome kids (Makenna, Bailey, Bryce, Adeline). I come from a family of Jesus lovers and have a great mom and dad, older brother, younger sister, and a twin brother.

 

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my wife, spending time with friends, playing ice hockey/ exercising, and playing with my kids.

 

God called me to be a pastor in 2006 while pursuing a career to be a high school art teacher. I have a B.A. in Studio art, with an emphasis in teaching, a teaching credential, a M.A. in teaching, and a post-graduate diploma in Biblical and Theological studies. 

 

Prior to Real Life Christian Church, I led "L2" (Love Jesus, Live Jesus), a community of young adults at Westgate Church where I was on staff for 11 years.

 

I have a passion for communicating God's Word in powerful and transformative ways, and I love thinking strategically about how we engage in our faith with both those who love God and those who do not yet know Him.
